Phoebe's Heebie Jeebies

This is not my favourite story and the illustrations aren't brilliant but it's been enjoyed my two young boys so, based on that alone, I'm sharing it on my blog site.

Phoebe likes to play in the jungle at the bottom of the garden.

In the jungle at the bottom of the garden bugs grow bigger than aeroplanes.

In the jungle at the bottom of the garden Phoebe is braver than a dragon slayer.

But uh oh ...

... even dragon slayers are frightened of SOME things.

"Watch out!" cries daddy.

"Watch out!" cries mummy.

"Phoebe's got the heebie jeebies!"

Phoebe likes to play in the park where swings fly higher than the moon and roundabouts spin faster than a washing machine.

In the park, Phoebe is braver than a trapeze artist.

But uh oh ...
... even trapeze artists are frightened of SOME things.

"Watch out!" cries daddy.

"Watch out!" cries mummy.

"Phoebe's got the heebie jeebies!"
Phoebe likes to swim in the ocean where giant seaweed monsters chase mermaids through underwater castles.

In the ocean Phoebe is braver than a deep sea diver.

But uh oh ...
... even deep sea divers are frightened of SOME things.

"Watch out!" cries daddy.

"Watch out!" cries mummy.

"Phoebe's got the heebie jeebies!"

Phoebe likes to visit the museum where bony old dinosaurs play hide and seek with Egyptian mummies.

At the history museum, Phoebe is braver than a time-traveller.

But uh oh ...
... even time travellers are frightened of SOME things.

"Watch out!" cries daddy.

"Watch out!" cries mummy.

"Phoebe's got the heebie jeebies!"

Phoebe likes to play under her bed where old toys and dirty socks stretch millions of miles to the centre of the Earth.

Under her bed, Phoebe is braver than an explorer.

But uh oh ...

... even explorers are frightened of SOME things.

"Watch out!" cries daddy.

"Watch out!" cries mummy.

"Phoebe's got the heebie jeebies!"

Phoebe likes to  help out on her granddad's allotment where she grows pumpkins for fairy godmothers.

On granddad's allotment Phoebe is not afraid of anything. She's not afraid of wasps or bees or slugs or snails or the wriggly squiggly worms.

But uh oh ...

... she knows someone who is!
